American Society of the French Legion of Honor
2021 Medal for Distinguished Achievement
Rosener is acknowledged for his impressive international legal career and for the pro bono work he has done for the American Society of the French Legion of Honor to bring the organization current with 21st century legal standards.
The Society was founded in 1924. It provides educational grants and hosts events to promote friendship between France and the U.S. It works to preserve the legacy of the French Legion of Honor. Established in 1802 by Napoleon, the Legion of Honor is France’s highest and premier award, akin to being knighted. In the 1990’s, President Jacque Chirac determined to honor all WWII veterans who fought for France with the Legion of Honor.
