Some National WWI Museum and Memorial Programs:
The National WWI Museum and Memorial in Kansas City, Missouri, began as the Liberty Memorial fund drive in 1919, opened as a monument in 1926, and expanded into the official national museum in 2006.
The National WWII Museum & Memorial works with ABMF to advance public understanding of America’s military history, honor those who served, and engage new audiences in preserving their legacy.
A project of the American Studies Center, the American Veterans Center and World War II Veterans Committee has worked to preserve the legacy of our veterans and military personnel for more than 20 years.

American Valor: A Salute to our Heroes, an annual Veterans’ Day television spectacular, this is just one of AVC’s award-winning documentary programs and TV specials
Annual Veterans Conference & National Youth Leadership Summit with a focus on ROTC cadets
AVC maintains an oral history collection of veterans’ interviews, with a subscriber base of more than 1.5 million on YouTube and Facebook, and total views of more than 1 billion

We are working together to preserve and promote VAC’s portfolio of audio and video interviews with veterans from WWII.
Some American Gold Star Mothers Programs:
American Gold Star Mothers, Inc. grew from Grace Darling Seibold’s efforts to support hospitalized veterans and grieving mothers after the loss of her son in World War I, and was formally established in Washington, D.C., on June 4, 1928.
American Gold Star Mothers worked with ABMF to honor fallen service members through the Sacred Soils project, bringing soil from ABMC American military cemeteries across Europe to a memorial marker at Arlington National Cemetery.
The United War Veterans Council traces its roots to veterans’ groups founded after the Spanish-American War and was revived in 1985 by Vietnam veterans to preserve the New York City Veterans Day Parade.

The United War Veterans Council works with ABMF in support of shared efforts to honor America’s veterans, preserve their legacy, and promote public remembrance of their service.
Some Project Hero Programs:
Project Hero offers multi-day rehabilitation therapy cycling rides (some with adaptive bikes) of varying lengths throughout the U.S. and Europe including visits to ABMC cemeteries and memorials as alternative therapies for PTSD and TBI treatment, as well as physical injury rehabilitation
Project Hero HUB chapters offer group rides and activities in more than 50 cities throughout the United States
Founded in 2008, Project Hero is dedicated to helping veterans and first responders affected by PTSD, TBI, and injury to achieve rehabilitation, recovery, and resilience in their daily lives.
Project Hero multi-day Challenge rides stop at schools so students can meet wounded veterans and see that their injuries do not define them. Project Hero helps promote the ABMF Past is Prologue Essay Contest at these schools.
The Bedford Boys Tribute Center was created in Bedford’s historic Green’s Drugstore to memorialize the 38 “Bedford Boys,” including the men of Company A who suffered catastrophic losses during the D-Day landings on June 6, 1944.
